Blogger Arrest in Bahrain

Ali2_1Mahmood is reporting that Ali, a Bahraini blogger who runs the regime-critical Bahrain Online, has just been arrested. Developing.

UPDATE: More infro from Bahraini Blog. Evidently the charges against Ali AbdulEmam are:

  1. Abusing the royal entity
  2. Instigating hatred to the regime
  3. Spreading news that endangers security
  4. Violating the Publishing Laws
  5. Violating the Telecommunications Law

UPDATE II: Chan'ad Bahraini has even more news, including photos of Ali being arrested. He also reports on a demonstration on Ali's behalf, a conversation with Ali's brother, and the new banners calling for Ali's release.
