The (inexplicable) popularity of Lance Armstrong's "Livestrong" yellow rubber bracelet has given rise to a whole series of knock-offs. Some for social causes - e.g., breast cancer research, save Darfur, etc. - and others for more frivolous pursuits - e.g., sports teams.
The trend has spread as far as Saudi Arabia, where green bands that read "Proud 2 B Saudi" have become a hot commodity. Yet, as Saudi blogger Farah illustrates, the stands in shopping malls selling the green bracelets are, ironically, staffed by foreign workers, who make up a majority of the Saudi workforce yet are denied citizenship:

UPDATE: The Religious Policeman comments on the above item:
...not many of us are actually proud to be Saudi. Proud to be Arabs, yes, and Arabs from Arabia, yes, certainly. But the name "Saudi Arabia" derives from the time when the country was conquered by AbdulAziz Al Saud, who then "christened" it (if I can use that expression about a Muslim country!) after his own family name. Conceited, or what? Even the world's most self-important and psychotic egos didn't do that. Did you ever hear of "Kim Korea" or "Ulyanov Russia" or even "Idi Amin Uganda"? But our modest and demure royal family have dreams of grandeur that the rest of us can't begin to imagine. So while the Saud's and their related families think "Saudi Arabia" is a great name, the rest of us think it sucks, big-time.
Unfair comment, I see no harm in the state carrying the name of the man who unified us. At times of gloomy mode, read Saudi as "Pleased" from (Saeed : Happy). that won't be faulty since Saud means: "Best of Luck."

We have often repeated that the truth, because the error was also repeated in the propaganda, and not individual people but a large number of people publicity. Are you felt that it is right? I do not really think that, but can keep personal opinions!
