One of the wonderful developments of the blogosphere in the Middle East is the ability for people to unite in unburdening themselves of pent-up frustrations and sadness over problems in society.
Today is international women's day, a chance to celebrate women's rights and accomplishments. (Something that of course should be done every day.) To mark the day, we link to a fascinating post over at Freedom for Egyptians, entitled: Two Muslim Women in Their Own Words about Religion in Egypt.
The dialogue between the two posts sets off a range of reactions and stories in the comments. It is clearly a tough situation in Egypt now with regard to Christian-Muslim relations and secular-religious tension. Most of the stories are sad and depressing. But as one commenter writes: "It's up to us to manifest against violence, sectarism and intolerance! I have a dream !"
