Elaph has filled in a vital piece of information that helps explain Lionel Ritchie's bizarre appearance in Tripoli at a Qaddafi family Qoncert. According to this Elaph article (Arabic link), the Q-man's daughter Aisha (otherwise known as the Claudia Schiffer of North Africa) was getting hitched. It appears Lionel was also in town to croon at her nuptials.
The really interesting piece of news is that, according to Elaph, Aisha is keeping it inside the family. That's right, she's marrying her father's cousin. Now if there's one family on earth that has enough problems without the risks of cousins getting hitched, it's probably the Qaddafi Qlan.
But judge not lest ye be judged. We do, however, note that Elaph is reporting that many princesses from the Gulf emirates came to the wedding, giving Aisha's marriage a royal air. So how come we weren't invited?!?!
