12 hours before the voting was scheduled to begin, Saleh gets on TV and announces a major al-Qaeda arrest and links him to the bin laden, the thwarted terror attacks AND opposition candidate.
The opposition says the guy worked for a week as a bodyguard but something was fishy so they fired him. The guy turns out to be the cousin-in-law of the president.
