It's worth noting that the pianist, Hiroko Atsumi, did not wear an abaya (nor, apparently, did many women in the audience). You go, girl!
Like watching a child take a step on her own. Not impressive in magnitude but full of potential.

What I'd like to know is: Where are the American feminists? Shouldn't they be cheering on this event? Will the Western mainstream media report this? Guess it's not important enough to be on their agenda, or am I being too cynical?
